Senior Software Engineer (Javascript) – Gamera team

We at HolyCode are currently looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer with strong skills and proven experience who is ready to dive into the Gamera team.

Gamera is a fast-growing AdTech startup dedicated to disrupting the way value is exchanged on the internet. The company is run by veterans in the AdTech eco-system who have had success building transformative products in the past. The company does not rely on venture funding or external funding to operate.

Gamera currently operates at scale with several large USA based customers and transacts on hundreds of millions of user sessions per month.  The current engineering team has an extensive background in large scale distributed systems and needs someone with a passion for the front-end and the customer experience to join the team.

Technology stack:

  • Javascript (Svelte, SvelteKit, Vanilla JS, Node)
  • Go-lang Microservices / Multithreading, Python
  • ClickHouse, Postgres, MySQL



You will be joining the team extremely early in the product lifecycle and have an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the customer experience through the development of their customer portal.


On a daily basis you will:

  • Build back-end apis that access our data pipeline, ad-tech infrastructure, and databases
  • Develop front-end screens for our customer portal (Svelte /  Javascript)
  • Develop and maintain micro services that support the various components of our infrastructure.


Your profile:

  • Expertise in HTML / CSS / Javascript in addition to at least one front end framework (React / Vue / Svelte / Angular)
  • Basic understand of Data Structures, Algorithms
  • Basic understanding of browser memory management
  • Real world experience with software testing (unit, e2e tests) / version control systems (preferably GIT for version control)
  • Real world experience in developing and maintaining core aspects of a web-based system including:
    • Interacting with and designing data models for Relational and Non Relational Databases. This includes more advanced topics like joins / materialized views / indexing / transactional integrity/etc.
    • Strong application architecture knowledge including the ability to reason about performance/functional/security/ and usability tradeoffs
    • Ability to write functional tests for all code
    • Ability to effectively document code
